The Test Way 50 was my first 50 mile ultra and an experience I will not forget! The course was challenging and muddy with a lot of slippery paths and some flooded fields. The Test Way is a nice route with a variety of scenery. The aid stations were reasonably frequent with a variety of food/drink. The route was well marked but I had to navigate some sections in the dark so my watch map was handy. The organisation and marshalls were great. There could have been a bit more food at the end, as the vegetarian risotto didn't do it for me. Nice medal. Transport back to the start and car park was brilliant. Great Race Company and will run with them again.

My first 50 mile event and I really enjoyed it! Race Director was honest at the briefing about the conditions (it was exceptionally wet this year!) The course was easy to follow with lots of arrows and small flags to follow throughout the event. Main roads were marshalled and easy to cross. Bags were taken to the end and hot meal provided. Fantastic experience of my first 50 mile race and I will definitely look at doing more events organised by this team.

Perfect pre-race info including GPX route download. Very well organised event day with faultless route marking, well stocked aid stations with plenty of volunteers. Would be ideal as a first ultra or someone looking for a distance PB.

Check -in was quick and easy with no queues. The course became very muddy after the rainfall. Race was good. A few people at the finish line but no big fanfare. Post race food and drink was really nice.

I've run this twice, at different times of the year, and really enjoyed it both times. In fact, I'm going to enter another of their events today. The event crew are very friendly and supportive, as are other runners, some who go back year after year. Like all A to B ultra marathons, it feels like an adventure through the countryside and you'll see very pretty parts of the Test Valley and lovely Hampshire villages.
