First triathlon from Race Nation Events formally Immortal sport.

Very Covid safe event. Well organised, Marshall were fantastic and it was lovely to see local residents clapping and support all the athletes on the course.

Signed up for this as my first proper triathlon, having previously only done duathlons finding this gem on my door step was a great start. The tri is based on a private school in Taunton, so as you’d imagine the setting is pretty damn good. The swim is done in a very well kept indoor heated pool, for a relatively weak swimmer this pool was perfect as it wasn’t the standard 2m in the deep end you often see, so if you’re not a great swimmer this really takes some weight off your mind. The ride is beautiful, an out and back into the countryside, the only niggle I had was it’s on a live main A road, not too bad overall given the later start but still cars go dodge at times. The run is a simple 5K from the school around the area and back, a couple hills and a nice river run towards the end. Overall very good and i recommend to all

This was my first sprint pool based triathlon, and I can see why loads of people race them! It was great fun, I felt very welcom and the organisers did a great job. I highly recommend this event.

Loved the finish area and the transition was perfect, no grass in a naturally secure area of the tennis courts.

Bike course was 29km a out and back course! A fast and mainly non technical! Only down side is the traffic lights! I got held up there on the way out, but it allowed me time to organise myself.

Run was about 200m short according to Garmin butt the loop around the school was great! With one (happy) drinks station this was sufficient.

The facilities, Staff, marshals, and supporters were just brilliant! I travelled alone with no support but was made to feel welcome by all, very friendly triathlon.

This is a nice triathlon suitable for athletes at all levels. loved the medal really good quality.

Thank you to everybody involved! If my 2017 schedule fits I will be back to defend my win!
