Now I've ticked off both 50&100 distances, I've still got the same opinion about the race: One to do for any and all ultra runners. Organisation & communication is superb. It's one of the races you know they've tweaked over the years, and recent runners are enjoying the fruits of a lot of hard work making it one to remember. Checkpoints are awesome, lots of choice & support. Also, so many volunteers on each one, plus they will all look to help you if you're flagging. Personally, it speaks volumes about the integrity of a race and it's reputation, when the locals are in support of runners. To the point where they assist you and cheer you on! I absolutely love that about races, and this one is a huge one for a community vibe. An epic run to do imo, but ignore the hills comments- they're just bumps in the road.. Keep it up, and like many others, I will be back to get that black t-shirt!

Completed the 100km at second attempt. Lovely rolling Suffolk countryside and lots nice views along the well marked route. Historic villages and idyllic ancient churches are highlights. It's a very well organised event with a really friendly and encouraging atmosphere. Support crews were a highlight, really grateful for the wonderfully warm cheering along the route. Showers at the end too! Close to public transport. Absolutely recommended.

The route isn't always that obvious but its a trail event not a road marathon so I'd expect to have to do some navigation. Thanks to everyone involved.

I cannot thank the volunteers and organisers enough for such a fantastic day. Aid stations are well stocked and supported by happy and welcoming volunteers. A tough course in places but enjoyable all the more for it. See you next year!!

Back for my second completion of the 100k following my finish last year. The course is tough, the cut offs mean you always have to be on the move and the navigation is important (always recommend a gpx on watch/phone) BUT all of this is what makes the event such a rewarding challenge! It isn’t easy etc but that is why you can’t stop smiling when you finish ! The aid stations are amazing and the volunteers are the best. I will be back again to try for the coveted black T Shirt!

Attempted 100k, overall a good event with great support and aid stations, through some lovely countryside. Sometimes the route wasn't so great, but it's a trail run so i can handle a few brambles or nettles etc, the Only thing that let it down for me was poor route marking in several places (some crucial....i had to wait 5 minutes for another runner to catch up at one point to confirm directions and in another i started following what i believe to be the red and white tape for the 50k start). I was planning to use gpx on my watch but it didn't work on day and phone also started playing up so unfortunately was solely relying on route marking on this occasion. Would definitely try again though.

Absolutely loved this race. I did the 50k. This was my first time running an ultra (volunteered last year), and it was amazing. Hills at the start were hard ( I'm not a hill person), but once we hit the first checkpoint at Lanmarsh it felt easier and we just had such a laugh along the way. It's a beautiful view and the checkpoints are amazing. Well worth every penny.
