I cannot express enough how amazing this event is! A steam train ride along the longest heritage railway in the country, the friendliest and loveliest marshals who want nothing more than the participants to have an amazing time, and the most amazing views you could wish for. They...

I cannot express enough how amazing this event is! A steam train ride along the longest heritage railway in the country, the friendliest and loveliest marshals who want nothing more than the participants to have an amazing time, and the most amazing views you could wish for. They do three distances so there is something for everyone! This is quite simply the most unique marathon and a must for anyone! There is also so much focus on sustainability, what more could you ask for and it is amazing to support a small organisation that is all about people and the environment! I can't recommend it enough and I'll be back next year!

A really well organised trail marathon. Friendly organisers who my Wife and I had the pleasure of bumping into whilst they were busy putting signs out. The route was challenging but rewarding with magnificent views on the Quantock hills. It was really well organised and hats ...

A really well organised trail marathon. Friendly organisers who my Wife and I had the pleasure of bumping into whilst they were busy putting signs out. The route was challenging but rewarding with magnificent views on the Quantock hills. It was really well organised and hats off to those volunteers who put the orange markers out, especially on top of the hills! We had the pleasure of an RNLI Minehead tour the following day and found out that our volunteer and crew member Raji also was one of those that set up the course. It just goes to show what a community effort this was. Thank you to all the volunteers and organisers. This was my first time in Minehead but I'll hopefully be back to take part again soon!

This is such an iconic race, I mean who doesn't want to be taken to the start by Steam Engine? The marshals are the friendliest, the aid stations well stocked with all the goodies you can dream of, even vegan and gluten free snacks are available in abundance, and the views are magnificent. It's well worth booking a weekend in Minehead for.

Another great S2TC event, not even the weather could dampen our spirits. The Tribe marshals on the feedstations and marshal points were fantastic especially as the weather was interesting and constantly changing! This is the 3rd time my friend and I have taken part, we love the unique train ride to the start and the whistle and steam from the coal train to set us on our way! The feedstations are well stocked and have food for all dietary requirements . I highly recommend the marathon, the terrain is very varied and has something for everyone, there are usually 3 beaches to run along and a climb with spectacular views!
