Fantastic event that ran to clockwork. The weather was horrendous but they got us away quickly on time at the start and the Marshalls on course were the best I've seen. They were so encouraging despite the weather that it made me look forward to each Marshall point to get that extra encouragement. Loads of free goodies to help ourselves to at the finish with plenty of room to get out of the rain and buy hot drinks and food too for those that wanted.

I loved this event. Really well organised. The marshals were fantastic. Loved the heart km markers and little love heart messages. Great area inside at the start and end. Reasonable entry feel. Really like the long sleeve t shirt too

I think this is the best event I have ever attended! The vibe is so friendly and the whole race has just got a really friendly and supportive feel to it. The volunteers are amazing and the course it self really pretty with lots of drink stops and comical km markers. Running round the field to the finish with tunes and a shout out makes you feel on cloud nine after all of those miles! Great t shirt and treats with post pizza and sauna for those that want it! Well done Stamford Striders - I love your valentines run x

I love this course as it’s a really good course to train on hills for races that we normally have booked up in the spring and although being a slower runner I’ve always finished between 3.50 and 4.30 in previous years but this year got timed out at 15 miles so then said I give u my number n finish which I did in 4.24 of which everything was cleared away the T-shirt I got earlier was lovely but so small was not a large the size was like a small and didn’t get a time or even a dnf on results not a mention of a half way time or anything like I wasn’t even out there very disappointing and obviously not a race for us slower runners which is a shame as running races should be for everyone so disappointing sadly I hope maybe the director will look at the timings 🙏🙏

I have run this race most years since training for my first marathon - London 1998. Strangely the weather was the exact opposite of this year. C17 - 18 and full sun. The race organisation is amazing, as are the marshalls. It's a great challenging course, and the annual plan is ...
