Although initially slow getting onto the parking area, it was SO close to the race HQ which was brilliant. Long queues as expected for loos, and a little disappointed there wasnt one at half way for those of us who missed getting to the front of the queues at HQ. Route-Once off the building of the new road the route was great, the hills stopped where I expected- they didnt go on and on and on!! Medal , T-shirt and bottle of water at the finish. Great aid stations and support all the way. Great downhill Hill (ish) finish

My first time at this event and I can certainly see why it's a popular one! Registration was quick and easy (even with the slight complications due to Covid) and the organisation throughout the day seemed very smooth. The event itself is run on a mostly flat course, with a couple of short climbs and a very welcome downhill 5k to finish where you are met with some great local/spectator support. The course is well marshalled and takes you through some picturesque countryside and local villages. The only downside this year was that the bespoke medals for the event were delayed due to the global shipping issues etc. etc. so all participants received a more generic replacement instead. However, this was of course out of the organisers control and the replacement was still great quality with the event name engraved... the best of a bad situation!

Needs more loos! Got my on here and finishes on a downhill. Out of St Neots can get very quiet support wise and is quite open. Good race!

My 3rd year running this event. With the start line less than 5 mins from my house it would be rude not to!

The event sells out very quickly when entries open which shows its popularity. Race day is well organised and I do like that they allow pre registration for locals to ease the crowds on race day.

The course is a little tough in places but the last few miles downhill are welcomed. There are always good crowds in the villages although can be a little quieter between when you need to push on.

Long sleeve t-shirt and nice medal at end is a nice finish. Is always then nice to see plenty of friends home as well.

Will definitely be making it 4 next year!

Superb race as ever - would always keep coming back as its a staple of the Cambridge running season. And i love the downhill last 5km.

Couple of minor grumbles - the man selling hot drinks and bacon rolls was not in the hall this year and we also lost the excellent little tri and running store - got some pre-xmas bargains last year and was hoping to do the same again

Good organisation, with everything working smoothly (except for some tailbacks on the way into race hq).

Aid stations are frequent, water in decent bottles - far too much plastic going around though.

The course itself is nice enough through the local countryside. Slightly undulating, with huge reward at the end of 3 miles all slightly downhill to help you finish strong. This is a pb course make no mistake.

Medal and long-sleeved tee are welcome if nothing special, but this is all about the run itself.

Great Race - bit of a must-do winter run for Cambridge. Well priced and good emailed information. Little bit of a queue to enter and leave the site but loads of parking and pre-race set -up is fab with nice warm hall. Course is largely flat with a bit of undulation and a couple of short sharp climbs. Get to 5k to go and its all downhill which is great. to a nice long finish with lots of support. Also good support in the villages including the climbs and some nice countryside. Highly recommended - great long sleeve technical finishers t-shirt too

Can see why this race sells out very quickly. Great set up with lots of friendly marshalls on route. Registration was straight forward, collected number and t-shirt on the day. An undulating course, thankfully the last 3 miles are flat and slightly downhill. Only gripe of this race was the large water bottles handed out at water stations. Sounds petty but they were huge! Smaller bottles would have been better

Excellent local race. Weather always seems to be great. It is hilly but the last 3 miles are brilliant to aim for a PB. I always try to run it and will be back again next year.

Lovely end of season half. Definately not a flat course, but still possible to run fast - I ran a 3min 45 sec PB. Although the glorious weather (cool and no wind) certainly helped that.

The organisation is great with lots of things you might expect from much bigger races (names on race numbers, bottled water at aid stations) plus benefits of smaller races (easy registration and bag drop, no need to weave around other runners at the start) as well as free photos, free tshirt and a decent medal.

Already on my race calendar for next year!
