An event for all, whilst this is the start of the triathlon season they embrace and celebrate all who take part whatever your experience or fitness. For this reason I would recommend and encourage people to try a triathlon. I would have said I didn’t stop smiling the whole time...

For this reason I would recommend and encourage people to try a triathlon. I would have said I didn’t stop smiling the whole time, event photos say something different! That’s because it’s a challenge but incredibly enjoyable.

This is a great event, fantastic for starting the year. It is well organised and the people are friendly and helpful. It was sold out this year I believe so the car park was busier than the previous year but still seemed adequate. My only issue with the venue is the toilet facilities. I've done this one 3 times now, this year I used the downstairs changing area where there was just one cubical in the gents, last year I used the pool changing area and if I recall correctly there was only 1 or 2. I may have missed some facilities but talking to others (in the queue), if they are there then they are hard to find. So, as long as you go before you go then this is a perfect event. Thank you organisers, and thanks for the shout out on the pre-event comms about it being my birthday, nice touch

Great event - loved it. I think the run is best with the hill at the start as it has been the past few years. It was a good move to avoid the roadworks on the cycle. Results arrived very quick. First class all round. Maybe there is scope to hold this twice a year like it used to ...
