This was the worst course management I’ve ever encountered. Not only was it incredibly unsafe, it was severely logistically mismanaged. Parking was an absolute nightmare, pedestrians everywhere and one way in and out?! Just horrible. Zero first aid or first responders on site. No bathrooms on the course. No hot food, no beer, no Gatorade. No place to spectate. Just a terribly organized race; oh and it started 45 minutes late.

This was an extremely poorly planned event. A huge disappointment for many. Especially those of us that run this every year. Worst SS 1/2 marathon yet. 45min delay of the races because clearly no one thought out the detrimental impact starting and finishing the race in the parking area would have. The race organizers should have been able to predict the catastrophe that was. There was only water at the aid stations. The aid stations were well run and the volunteers were super supportive and cheerful. Other than the start/finish area, there were zero porta potties on the race course. The finish line festivities were non- existent. Likely because eveyone just wanted to get out of there which was to be another daunting task. The snacks provided were minimal, bananas, oranges, fruit snacks and chip assortment. Cars were lined back up again to leave (and permitted to leave) while 1/2 marathoners were finishing up. It was dangerous. The volunteers, the medals and the socks are the only redeeming qualities of this disappointment of a "race" today.

The loop that was meant to be run twice was not clearly marked at all, and the volunteers at the water stops knew nothing about the course. There was plenty of parking, which was much improved from previous years. Luckily a kind police officer informed me that the area I parked in would be blocked until the last runner finished the race, otherwise I would’ve been stuck there. It should not have been accessible If it was eventually going to be blocked off. A lot of runners were confused and moving their cars at the same time.

Great race! I could see how more novice runners may not like looping the big hill twice - them and the PR chasers. I enjoyed the challenge, the course and the race overall. Short walk to the bar was tops too! I wore the shirt for year 1 to run this year. I wear all the running ...
Great race! I could see how more novice runners may not like looping the big hill twice - them and the PR chasers. I enjoyed the challenge, the course and the race overall. Short walk to the bar was tops too! I wore the shirt for year 1 to run this year. I wear all the running swag from over the years to train (have run like 6). I all but live in the grey hoodie with race logo and winter hat. This year’s orange with massive letters and odd quote never even made it home. Really bad. Oh well, one bad swag year - I still wear all the rest. Cheers!

This is a fun New England Half. It has some rolling hills which keeps it interesting. The swag was great and aid stations were plentiful and well staffed. Also since you do the loop twice the local support seemed good throughout.

The event was very well organized and safe, no problems with traffic. The only congestion was at the start which is to be expected. Parking was great in the large mall area as was the post run beer, which was inside. Great run will definitely consider running in 2025!
