This race was really well organised. Stunning views, great weather, fantastic organisers and race Marshall's. The only issue was the 2nd half marathon I swear they moved everything further back by 2 miles 😂😂

What a beautiful little town Slaithwaite is, or pronounced locally as Slaw'it. As with most Grim Up North events, they offered a 5k, 10k, HM, 20 miler and Full marathon. I opted for the 10k which was an out and back along the canal. The route was very busy with other runners, w...

What a beautiful little town Slaithwaite is, or pronounced locally as Slaw'it. As with most Grim Up North events, they offered a 5k, 10k, HM, 20 miler and Full marathon. I opted for the 10k which was an out and back along the canal. The route was very busy with other runners, walkers and cyclists - but the staggered start times of all the events worked really well. Don't believe anyone when they say canals are flat... This was tarmac, cobbles, fields, puddles, hills and tunnels! Beautiful scenery throughout and an added bonus was the sunshine! Upon finishing, you are provided with a fantastic medal, beer, chocolate and as much cake as you eat! Brilliant event, great location, friendly and well organised.

Brilliant event. Fantastic team. Absolutely beautuful course. I love how low key the events are and everyone is so friendly. Great support and the food and drink are amazing. The cakes are delicious and the medal is fab. Loved today. Just wished i’d done the HM as it was over too...

Another great IGUN race day. Warm, sunny and welcoming. Normal for February in Yorkshire. Runner, marshals and organisers were all brilliant. Today was my first run back for 2 months and it was tougher than I expected but its always the support from the other runners and marshals that see you through. Masses and masses of cake, a beer and chocolate, along with a fine medal.
