I had a great experience at a Punk Panther trail race and on this occasion their commitment to runner safety particularly stood out. During the race I received a call from the Race Director, Ryk, to let me know that my number hadn’t registered at a checkpoint and he just wanted to check on my wellbeing and that I was still on the course heading in the right direction. This proactive approach reassured me of their dedication to ensuring everyone’s safety on the course. The race itself was incredibly well-organised, with clear course markings , supportive volunteers and great refreshments at the finish. The scenic trails offered stunning views of the countryside, making the miles fly by despite the challenging muddy terrain and the atmosphere was filled with positivity and camaraderie among the runners. As always, the Punk Panther 20-mile Skipton Skeddadle trail race was a fantastic event that perfectly balanced challenge and enjoyment. The emphasis on runner safety and wellbeing by the Race Director's personal attention to detail is commendable and very much appreciated, especially as a female runner.

Great little tour out of Skipton. I enjoyed the mixed route, including the diversion.. I think the organisers made absolutely the right decision about it - pretty good going at such short notice whilst still getting our distance right! CPs were staffed by great people and it was lovely to have the opportunity to rest weary legs indoors at the end with hot food and drink provided whilst comparing notes with other runners.

Fab race (as always) views of Sharp Haw from almost all of the course the diversion on the road section was what it was but it was easier miles (still some decent hills!) but can switch your brain off from navigating - oh and there was mud and more mud and as a final present more...

Fab race (as always) views of Sharp Haw from almost all of the course the diversion on the road section was what it was but it was easier miles (still some decent hills!) but can switch your brain off from navigating - oh and there was mud and more mud and as a final present more mud - lovely! Advantage of it been really muddy you can see other runners foot prints so can see if you're going the right way!!! Then there is the food at the finish

Another perfect Punk Panther event! I’ve done a few now and love the inclusive, welcoming and encouraging atmosphere of these races. The attention to detail throughout is second to none - the team puts so much effort into ensuring a great experience for all participants. The course was scenic, interesting, clearly marked and challenging with a well-stocked, friendly checkpoint and a generous time-limit. Pre-event info including course description & files was excellent, as was the finish with a tasty post-race meal (lots of options) and a great quality T-shirt and medal.

It was super muddy!!! Across the fields and up and down many of the hills, it was muddy. We were warned! A large part of the course was on the Pennine Way and Pennine Bridleway and also on other well marked trails, and these were less muddy and the vast majority of the course ...

It was super muddy!!! Across the fields and up and down many of the hills, it was muddy. We were warned! A large part of the course was on the Pennine Way and Pennine Bridleway and also on other well marked trails, and these were less muddy and the vast majority of the course was in good condition for running. All the people I met and spoke to at checkpoints and the other participants were friendly and enthusiastic. The ultra community spirit came through. The staff at aid stations were all super friendly and very happy to offer a fab variety of treats. Pre-race comms were good - this was my first ultra and I don't enter races very often, so my ability to make rookie errors was well taken care of through the organisers emails and staff on the day. A great event - I thoroughly enjoyed running/jogging/walking through the Yorkshire scenery. Thank you PP

Although I’ve done a lot of Punk Panther events in the past this was my first time doing the Skipton Skeddadle. It was a great route with stunning views. The 50K was a good blend of hills and terrain to keep it interesting. Well stocked aid stations around every 8-9 miles meant food and hydration was never an issue. Very well organised and some great company on the way round. I’d definitely recommend it!
