Overall a very well organised event with orderly transitions, clear instructions throughout the entire process (pre race, race, post), safe starts to swims, and great vibes with volunteers and employees of T100. Easily one of the better (and more prestigious) races in the region.

2026’s swim route was 2 laps with an Aussie exit. I felt that it was not as enjoyable as compared to 2025’s bigger loop without having to do the Aussie exit. This felt smoother. Im not sure why T1 had to have such a long transition and then an even longer run around to enter the bike area. Run course should have been made simpler, i did not see a clear demarcation of the start of the run after T2 either. 2025’s race was a better experience for me.

I did the relay, swim. It is very scenic and offers a unique point of view. I have done it three times including this year and will do it again. The backpack this year is the best. Just too bad I can't share any of my swim photos as there aren't any.

Good event but there were a couple of logistical hiccups that could be fine-tuned for future races. I asked one of the tech officials on Saturday about whether the shoes will be brought back to the transition after the swim - just to confirm what I read in the athletes guide. He actually said no. So, I walked barefooted to the starting point again this year, only to find that the shoes do get sent back. Appreciate for the organisers to ensure that ALL officials know the rules inside out. This is on top of the wrong instructions given to the runners. Something needs to be done on the comms side. As much as I do not want to sound entitled, for the amount we paid, we honestly expected more. Besides, these issues seemed to be the most basic stuff.

The race is extremely hot and humid, which is exactly the challenge I wanted to test myself in. Except for that, everything went smoothly and professionally, I just missed ice in aid stations..:)

The event and the supporting staffs was great!! Was first time to swim in the barrage. Unfortunately, the two umpires at the bike dismount area was giving confusing with two different set of instructions. Overall is a great experience for this event.
