It is a very PB friendly route. It is very flat and the support is marvelous. The route took us around the edge of Hyde Park for the first 4k to Kensington Garden where we ran 2 loops with 4k to 6k on the first loop and 6k to 8k on the 2nd loop before heading back to Hyde Park for the final 2k to finish right next to the beautiful Serpentine Lake. When running on the first loop inside the Kensington Garden, I was overtaken by many faster runners who were already on their 2nd loop. This had definitely given me the motivation to keep pushing.

After running the Serpentine NYD 10K last year I was happy to be going back again the following year. Serpentine RC don't disappoint with the way the event is organised (it's very popular) and everyone has a good time in kicking the new year off with a bang.

I entered the New Year's Day run as a way to kick start 2017 and also for training towards my first half marathon. It's a race event organised by Serpentine AC members so it really is an event by runners for runners. It was quite a good day weather wise and the race organisation...

It was quite a good day weather wise and the race organisation was pretty good, as there were about 600 runners. No major queues for the bag drop. The route is a nice scenic one around Hyde Park. Definitely recommend it.
