The race is fantastically organized and supported. The aid stations each had their own personality with great energy and everything you could need on a 50km run in the heat. The race village tents/accommodation was comfortable and had everything you needed for a 2 night stay on the pans. The bucket showers were rustic but water was hot and available! The food was amazing- tasty, nutritious and lots of it. My favourite was the egg and bacon breakfast sandwich the morning after the race. For an ultra first timer I felt safe and supported the whole way! Hoping to be back next year which should say it all!

What a fantastic 'vibe'! Competitors, volunteers and supporters were all in this together. My supporters were nervous as none of us had done this before - and were all very happy with the weekend's food, accommodation and ablutions.

From watching the dramatic sunrise to amazing participants along the route. The aid stations were another highlight. Race village 10/10! I have never been filled with so much gratitude for a race even in the midst of hitting a wall! Kudos to the Salt Pans Ultra race organizers and volunteers!
