Really enjoy running Salcey forest as it's a lovely place to chill, and lots of paths to explore. Was a humid afternoon but the forest helped with some shade. Great aid station and friendly people.

But what made it was the friendliness of everyone involved from race director to volunteers to the rest of the participants - everyone said hello, encouraged each other, and so on. Brillinat event - my first Big Bear but will definitely do some more.

Claire - glad you enjoyed your first Big Bear event, we'd love to see you back soon!! Thanks for the review.

I had a lovely time at this event. Everyone was very friendly and I felt welcome and supported. The aid station was as good as ever and so was the flapjack! :) It is a beautiful course, well organised and a lot of fun!

Doing your first ultra is awesome Elaine, well done!! Thanks for the review as always.

Then Big Bear advertised a 12 hour event.  Their events are so supportive and inclusive, I didn't once feel guilty about taking a break between laps or pressured for time. All the Big Bear events are for everyone, whatever the ability or distance.  Salcey Forest is a good venue for a PB if that's what your chasing as its pretty flat. Most people though are in it for the endurance. I don't think I will ever run a long road race again, why would you when you have events like this?

Definitely one to put on the bucket list if you haven't run a Big Bear Event already.

Beautiful course, mainly flat and a good running surface. Well organised event, friendly, covid safe, great aid station and relaxed atmosphere. Hard to fault.

This was my first Big Bear event and I will definitely be back!! From pre race information to finishing it was all very well organized and clear. Everybody there was incredibly friendly, supportive and helpful. The course was so beautiful it didn't feel like running laps at all, and the pit stop in between laps had a vast range of different goodies to fuel you. So impressed, thank you!!

Glad you enjoyed the day, you went for ever! Thanks for the review

Of all the events I've done this one I enjoyed the most. Just enjoying each 5k lap and stuffing my face at the aid station in between and obviously an awesome medal. My most enjoyable 26k so far
