Registration was straight forward . On arrival the car park was well managed and easy to access
The start was a little walk from the car park, five minutes. Collecting the race numbers was quick and easy. Toilets were enough for the amount of runners with the standard pre race queue you expect.
5k and 10k runners started together, as it was a track race the 5k finish was well marshalled when to leave the track to finish and collect medal. Two laps for 5k and 4 laps for 10k
When finishing the race you were given the medal and homemade flapjacks, on offer which are apparently well known for these races. Bananas and water plentiful. Also hot food van available for coffees and buttys.
If you want a PB course then this was perfect, especially as it was mid week. The Leicester course is relatively flat, with minor incline. So perfect.
Chase the the sun was a good experience and will return to complete another.

Usually I find laps to be boring, but somehow this time they weren't too bad and I actually enjoyed this race very much. There's not really local support for this one as it's in the middle of nowhere; but the marshals shook tamberines and were very encouraging - they more than made up for it!
This race takes place on a driving circuit near Prestwold Hall on what appears to be an old airfield. For those chasing a PB it's a fairly flat course. If you're local, then it's definitely worth doing this midweek after-work race!
