A nice setting on the Manchester outskirts. If you like a laps half marathon with a couple of nasty hills in each lap then this is for you. I entered this blind and although well organised and value for money its not one I will return for.

A little hilly, I did the half and ran up the same hill four times! Well organised and as with all run through races the flapjack is great.

There is a choice of races at Heaton Park, Half Marathon, 10k or 5k. I chose the 10k, which I am glad I did as it was another hot run and there was THAT hill, didn't expect it and as you do laps you know it is coming but I only had to do it twice rather than the four times if I ...

I chose the 10k, which I am glad I did as it was another hot run and there was THAT hill, didn't expect it and as you do laps you know it is coming but I only had to do it twice rather than the four times if I was completing the half marathon race.

All the runs are ran at the same time which  helps the marshals from having to look after different races, the Half starts an hour before the 10k and 5k (which start at the same time), it is well marshalled and easy to navigate.

The runs are in the grounds over mainly tarmac paths but there are some gravel tracks, the marshals are encouraging and there was a decent amount of support at the start/finish line.

It also allows more marshalls to be on hand to help out!

But it's devesating completing 4 laps and passing the finish line eachtime.

Good event, good support, but I'm not sure I'll do it again(because I hate hills).
