first time doing this race! Easy to get to, car park was very well marshalled. Shame it was in a muddy field as some cars had trouble getting out after.

picking up race numbers, warm up and starting by time was very well organised. Route was lovely along some beautiful country lanes. Well marshalled. 

Good medal, nice technical t-shirt, flapjack (one of the best I’ve ever tasted) and banana. Great value for money, lovely route. Would defo do it again! 

This is my 5th 10k and without a doubt my favourite.

As with all runthrough events it was well organised. There was a queue to get into Arley Hall but lots of marshalls directing cars to park. The number collection was well organised and I had my number within 30 seconds. Portaloo lines were relatively short.

Course was lovely - on roads so despite the weather (mainly rainy) it was easy to run. Very scenic and flat, I got a PB by just under 2 minutes!

The grassy area the loos were on & you walked over when the race was over was very muddy but can't be helped!! 

Marshals were very encouraging and well placed.

Nice medal, tshirt, and water at the end. Missed the flapjack, d'oh!

When can I sign up for March?

Good flat route on closed well marshalled roads, although no locals out to cheer you on.

Medal was a bit cheap looking with no date on.

Got a T Shirt, Flapjack & Banana at the end

Car Park was a bit of an issue due to the ground being sodden and some cars struggled to get out

Will do again ( got a PB this time round ) and hope for better weather conditions next time

This wasn't the first time I'd run the Cheshire 10k and I knew exactly what to expect. The course is flat and easy and leads to and light negative split.

It was very wet this year so it was boggy underfoot when walking on the grass to either use the toilets or registration area. Not really a problem though and I didn't hear anyone complain.

The route is a single lap and it is key to start in the right place. This year I noticed they called runners forward based on their start times. I think that definitely helped as you didn't get the slower runners at the front and people tripping over them whilst trying to make their way through.

Due to where the course Is, you don't get loads of local support but I don't think that detracts from the event.

Everyone was friendly and the marshalls were brilliant. They all had a smile of their face even though it was raining in parts.

Getting off one of the car parks can be a problem and although it didn't bother me, It might others that are trying to make a quick get away.

Last but not least, I got a PB. See you next year!

To be honest i loved this race because its fast its flat and its in a lovely area. My issues are the parking and control of the event.

I thought safety wise it can be a nightmare for slower runners, the runners that finished fast would begin to drive home along the path/road the runners were stilll racing on, not good and can be dangerous.

The parking if raining can be a nightmare hundreds of cars on a farmers field churning up the mud, if you have a rear wheel drive car you will be lucky to get out, the mud will also continue all around the start and finish if raining. I could imagine the race to be lovely on a nice sunny day, but you cant predict the weather unfortuently.

The route you run along is excellent and one of the best i have done, very flat and fast and one for your pb.

Unfortuently the medal is not so good and the T Shirt was white cotton? No technical shirt, you do get a banana though.

I will return to this race mainly for the course as its excellent

Definitely a course for a PB. If you're looking for a quick time, you can definitely do it here.

The medal you get is nice and setting at the start and finish is also good. The parking can be a bit of a nightmare and I ended up parking on the road.

Nice event overall and I'll be back on November 2017!

A pretty basic course but is held in the beautiful surroundings of Arley Hall and Gardens. Yes albeit only the start and finish reside here the villages and closed country roads are good to race on. 

Wasn't overly expensive and very easy to navigate. Parking was very local and there was minimal queues on leaving. Well worth it for the beginner and those looking for good times.
