Great event, made even better by the incredible weather and picturesque park setting. I did the 10k, which was two laps of the park. The route was mainly gravel paths and woodland, with a bit of tarmac. 

The marshalls were all very enthusiastic and willing to dish out high fives. There was even a Womble roaming around. 

The medal is great and the snacks at the end were plentiful. The flapjack was amazing.

Only one small gripe, too many plastic bottles! The aid station were using small plastic bottles of water. I don't know how races are going to get over this issue, but paper cups half filled, and then squished to form a spout are much more environmentally friendly and waste less water.

I would definitely do this race again. Well done Runthrough!!

 Run through is Wimbledon Common event is one of the most picturesque run events that they host in my opinion .You have the option of the 5 or 10k and can decide what you wish to do on the day .  It’s a beautiful part trail , part impacted path -perfectly flat run . Ive run it on very hot days and the shade of the trees is a lovely breath of fresh.air , those same trees bring a feeling of warmth in the winter.  The runthrough crew are an amazing support to all their runners  and provide much encouragement and support throughout the whole course . There’s even a Womble to high-five, hug or just pose for a photo with as you come to the finish line.  There are adequate toilets and water is available if you decide to do the 10 K which is two laps of their mark course . The famous post race flapjacks are ever present as they are at Runthrough events along with a banana water and more often than not another branded drink from a reputable company.The Medal is perfectly themed as are all Runthrough event medals and of course this time it includes the wombles of Wimbledon . I would highly recommend the Wimbledon Common chase the Sun event, it’s a lovely mid week evening run to wake your legs up. 

I have run 13 Runthrough races and they are all good. The marshals and setup is top notch for a 5K/10K. I did their first race back in 2013 in Bushy Park and have always coveted the Womble medal you get from running their 5K/10K/Half as a Womble high 5s you around the common.

The route is trail, either mulchy mud, or stone, and is a 5K loop around the outside of Canizzaro Park. Easy to navigate, support on the route, marshals. No water table I could see. But free photos, flapjacks, bananas, water and tea at the end.

Wimbledon? Wimble-done!
