My ultra debut and I absolutely loved it, in-spite of back pain, foot pain and those pesky hills! I am excited for Bournemouth in October! The staff were amazing!! The event was well-organized! Highly recommend, if you like great views and uphill climbs! Thank you so much!!

Excellent organisation from start to finish. The whole day ran seamlessly, from the (optional) transport to the start of the course for those staying overnight in Brighton, through to registration, bag and personal food drops, checkpoints and, of course, the run itself. The lovely course was very well signposted throughout; beautifully flat for the first 14 miles, challengingly undulating for the remainder! Even the weather was glorious - not a puddle or spec of mud for 50k!. The marshalls were brilliant too.

The course was perfectly marked, and the entire event was flawlessly managed. So impressed with the way we were not hurried, being at the back and encouraged by the tail runners. It was nearly an hour over the stated cut off time but they kept the finish line and timing mat there...

It was nearly an hour over the stated cut off time but they kept the finish line and timing mat there so we could expirience the same finish as everyone else. Not meant organisations do that.

An incredible event! Not overcrowded and is run really well:) super supportive crew along the way and checkpoints much more vegan friendly this year! All i would change is maybe the free ice cream at the end could be changed for a free massage as the ice cream wasn't the best...

Notably the staff at the feeding stations were very friendly and helpful (I like a chat and to ask about stuff), this helped my ultra debut and all-round experience. I look forward to RTTS Bournemouth in 2027, likely can't do this year.

Am I in a rush to do the Run To The Sea Ultra again? No. But did I enjoy it at the time? Also no. It’s a long way, it was hot and my feet, legs and back really hurt. But it was beautiful and the whole support and organisation was fantastic from the start at Christs Hospital to the end at Brighton and Hove. My first Ultra and I was in safe hands. So if you really want to do an ultra, (and I recommend that you don’t), do this one.
