A lot could be improved. The course for the half marathon was incredible, but overall organization of the event was not. There definitely was not enough clear communication leading up to the race regarding day of parking/directions/toilet situation/etc. Race day parking and communication regarding navigation (as things seemed unplanned and/or changing in real-time the morning of), did not exist digitally or in-person — better placement of staff/signs could have been planned. Portions of the course were very poorly marked (meaning not marked at all) leading to confusion and guessing among runners as they ran at points along the route — I personally had to backtrack at one point because I did end up going down a wrong turn. Aid stations were sparse — I recall going miles searching without luck for one towards the end. Only water was provided at tables, which would have been nice to know in advance so runners could prep accordingly (other half’s have provided electrolyte drinks, pieces of citrus & banana, energy gummies, and energy gels at EVERY mile mark). The promised sweatshirt swag was changed to a shirt + crew socks without notice that you only found out about at packet pick-up (no other swag but a medal was provided). Hopefully the water cups used were eco-friendly or at least all picked up post-race because we were in a state park and there was unfortunately a noticeable amount of litter along the course. Facilitates were seemingly insufficiently prepared as evident by the fact that we all parked on the rocks/side of the road once it was too close to race time and there was no plan for directing overflow parking to another lot. Toilets were also not well marked along the course as I asked several table volunteers along the way and none knew if there even were toilets on the course. The finish area providing mostly junk food post-race was a big disappointment.

Amazing experience for my first half marathon. The course was a little hilly, but nothing too crazy. There were many aid stations and staff along the way.

Beautiful surroundings, would be nice if the course could be flattened out a bit before next year ;-)

It was a bit hillier than I expected! The published elevation gain didn’t match what my watch told me, but it was a beautiful course and a well-managed event. I’d do it again!

The organization pre race was fine and well executed and the volunteers along the course were great. I would suggest that you need more porta potties. There’s only 2 on the course and while you pass them 2x it wasn’t enough. While quite beautiful, the course was challenging with all of the hills & there were no spectators along the route, I found it very lonely. Also make sure you download your playlist before the race as you won’t be able to access it otherwise.

The instructions were very clear on the parking situation. We got there prior to 7am and got a great spot. Overall it was an enjoyable race. I think we could’ve benefited from having more arrows or other directional markers on the course. I appreciated the race starting on time. We did another half marathon and we started ten minutes late because of the porta potty line. I recommend to future runners of this race to only wear one headphone in or have your music on low. Not all the roads are closed for this event. Some runners didn’t notice a car behind them. Thank you to Marathon Sports in Plymouth! The staff was super friendly and helpful!

This race takes place in one of the most stunning locations in our area, making it an unforgettable experience. The unique giveaways—socks and long-sleeved shirts—were a fantastic touch! The rolling hills provide a perfectly balanced challenge, keeping things exciting without being overwhelming. The volunteers were incredible—enthusiastic, supportive, and always ready to help, with plenty of water at aid stations and even beer waiting at the finish! My only wish is that there were more porta-potties at the start, as the lines were frustratingly long. And a pro tip: arrive early if you want a spot in the main parking lot!

Great race - from staff to communication. The only issue we ran into was my running partner missed the porta-potty at around mile 4ish and had to wait another 6 miles or so to go. Another set of porta-potties around mile 8 would be great.
