I asked my son if he enjoyed himself. His response was: How long is it until they are doing it again. I think that speaks volumes for the fun factor in this run. I’m not sure where to start with the positives for this one as there are so many! Before race day my son was...

I’m not sure where to start with the positives for this one as there are so many!
Before race day my son was lucky enough to secure a place of the Wagamama chef school morning followed by a training session in the park. I have to say, I was truly blown away by this. My son being a big Wagamama fan was ecstatic at the prospect of making his own lunch and fruit/veg juice drink! The training session in the park was a fun session with bags of enthusiasm he came away buzzing and even more excited for race day.
He was very excited when I came home with his racepack and T-shirt to wear for the event. The only comment I’ll make on this is many people commented he looked like he was wearing a Tesco (other supermarkets available) T-shirt with the design... he was in the royal blue too but I think coupled with the dashed line made it seem this way! It certainly made me laugh anyway. He was delighted with it!
The race itself was fabulous, the warm up whilst they were waiting was enthusiastic and the start prompt, the marshals kept the kids going and the finish straight he was blown away with. He genuinely thought everyone was there to cheer for him and thanked them for coming as he went by! He tripped over one of the barriers collecting high fives but he didn’t care as everyone cheered him back to his feet.
Chuffed to bits with his medal, buff and banana, he was back off to go have another go round the kids part of the village. He was also as impressed as me with the delicious meat the chef offerings again this year! We’ll be back again next year for sure. Thanks for a fantastic event and for the great morning before hand too.

This is a great race. The distance is perfect for younger kids. It is a great experience with all crowds and medals! Would definitely recommend.

Great fun event for the kids. They loved the medal and the t-shirts and the finishing straight. The only suggestion I would make for improvement is to have the start and finish a little closer together if possible. I was on my own with 2 children in different age groups and had to rush backwards and forwards a little with the youngest to be in the right place.

My kids love this race, it's such a great community event and so many of their friends do it. They look forward to it every year, so well organised.

This is the second year that my kids took part in the Run Reigate Kids Race. and they really enjoyed it. It's a nice course within Priory Park. They finish along the same finishing straight as the adult races and collect the same quality medal. They get to wear a colourful tech t shirt whilst running (different coloiur for each age group). It all adds to a wonderful day of running for the entire family.

I would ask that the event village could run for a bit longer after the last run out as my daughter didn't get a chance to take part in many of the activities having saved her energy up before the run

Keep up the good work
