Fab event. There are some really fit people who do these events but I never once felt that I didn't belong. Lots of support between the runners as you you keep passing or being passed by the other runners. I guarantee you will get lots of smiles and words of encouragement to keep you going. Whether you want to do 1 lap or try and beat Andrew's 16 laps, the challenge is personal. The aid station has everything you could possibly want from watermelon to chocolate cake and most things in between! Worth booking a day off work for.

You've had the experience we are trying to put on! We like that all runners regardless of ability or speed get to run with each other. Whether you run with someone by your side for an hour or get a quick nod or wave of someone running like lightening! Glad you enjoyed the day (and ran further than ever before!!) and hopefully we'll see you at a few more.

Big bear events are perfect for everyone from beginners to advanced runners. Well organised and very friendly, all information is sent out along with updates well ahead of race day. Great events for beginners , those returning from injury and those who just want to see how far they can go. Great refreshments too.

Great event and very well organised. Aid station had everything you could hope for and more. The out and back loop is great as you are passing other runners frequently and you dont have to worry about missing a turn. Highly recommended and will definitely be back again.

Love Big Bear Events. Off-road, scenic route and fantastic support the whole way. An aid station with more than you could ever need and friendly, supportive runners, marshalls and staff. Great photos, too. Will be back!

Really well organised, brilliant Aid Station, lovely friendly and supportive team and runners. Out and back laps aren’t my favourite but the trail is nice and it does mean you can pick the distance you want to do on the day so you might find yourself going further than you thought you could or you can finish earlier than hoped if it’s not happening for you on the day. Laps also mean that if you’re slow (I am!) you’re still constantly passing others so you never feel “left behind’. This was my second year at this event and I will be back (at the back :-) ) next year.

Helen, glad you came back for more! Out and back aren't our favourite either (it's our only one like that) but at least you're never isolated and it is nice nature reserve! Look forward to seeing you at some more.

Another brilliant Big Bear event!
I love the no pressure atmosphere. Big Bear seem to attract the friendliest of runners; everyone smiled and congratulated each other. Always a welcome boost.
Aid station is the best I’ve (still) ever seen and the organisers offer you the chance to ask for things to be added (offered in advance).
Whilst the course was out and back plus laps (usually my idea of a nightmare), I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I’m looking forward to my next Big Bear event!

Thanks for your kind words Susan. We are lucky we get lovely people (like yourself) at the events - not sure how we'd handle someone who wasn't!! Out and back is never our favourite but it is a lovely nature reserve. Hopefully some of the wildlife came out and said hello!
