Event was well managed right from teh start. Pre-race communication included GPS file and clear instructions. Event HQ was great with showers and a bar afterwards. They even through in ice creams for runners which was very much appreciated. Route was flat but mainly trail and some lovely river and canal towpaths. Every was friendly, encouraging and our group all enjoyed the day. Thanks

I have completed this race in 2022 and 2023 and enjoyed them immensely. The marshals were excellent throughout, especially the one willing me up the incline a few kilometres from the end, but all chatty and supportive. Most of the event is in lovely scenery, however being a run a...

I have completed this race in 2022 and 2023 and enjoyed them immensely. The marshals were excellent throughout, especially the one willing me up the incline a few kilometres from the end, but all chatty and supportive. Most of the event is in lovely scenery, however being a run around a major town there is inevitably a few busy road crossings and a bit of an industrial estate to run through. However given all that, I do not know how they could have picked a better route. Generous cut off makes this a must for any first timer wanting to "go ultra", with a great medal for your endeavours.

This was my first ever Ultra (I’d last run a marathon in 2005) but seeing as the route goes past my front door it seemed a great idea to enter. Pre-race communication was excellent and very useful. The website information was up to date and full of everything you might need to know. The marshals at the start/finish, along the route and at the aid stations were fantastic. The route was very well signed and easy to follow. The bright arrows were very useful once fatigue set in so you didn’t need to worry about going wrong. The medal was a proper medal…a well deserved colourful chunky medal. Overall, a great race and one that I’d recommend to beginners as it’s all so user friendly. I particularly liked having our own feed bags taken out to the check points though the feed stations looked very well stocked. Being a cup-less event was also a good idea. Many thanks to all the organisers and to the volunteers.

Great route and organisation of all the event coordinators and marshals on the day. It was well sign posted and lots of photographers in some lovely rural parts of the course. My least favourite was the bypass approaching check point 5 (Showcase cinema). I also think a few people...

Great route and organisation of all the event coordinators and marshals on the day. It was well sign posted and lots of photographers in some lovely rural parts of the course. My least favourite was the bypass approaching check point 5 (Showcase cinema). I also think a few people could miss the sharp turn after crossing the M4 before going into Spencer’s Wood. However it was a great run. Shout outs to Mahmud and Maggi marshals !!

Enjoyable round trip of Reading - best scenic part of the course is the outward leg on the river. Lovely greeting at each x 5 aid station and at the end. Well organised safe event.

I loved the race, small and well organised. Aspects from start to finish were well thought-through, and worked well. The route was well marked and beautiful - running along the river for a good part. The after race massage tent was a good add. I would recommend it. Just bewar...
