First time doing a rough runner and I've been on a high for the last 3 days! Such good fun, a great laugh, an amazing opportunity to meet new people with the same interests! The support from other runners, spectators and event staff was brilliant. Slightly disappointed not all the obstacles were available but fully understand it was out of the event organisers hands and still had the best day! 100% recommend to anyone wanting to do an OCR and get muddy!! Also great to be able to get course photos for free!!

Great event and as part of the UKOCR series it attracted a lot of highly competitive athletes. Despite the cold the course was well adapted and laid out brilliantly. Only down side was the couple of inflatable obstacles that were out of action due to being vandalised the night before. Other than that it was a brilliant day

Me and a few friends have never done any thing like this before this was are first event we took part in and it was well worth the wait and money. The event it self was well organised , fun and beautiful area to run around. There was loads of challenges it was a shame the weather was so cold as a couple of things had to be shortened or not on. But we loved it. Got closer to friends working together and would recommend rough runner to every one ! Can’t wait for the next one sign me up again now

Despite the extremely cold weather conditions in the morning (-2.5), Rough Runner were still able to lift everyone's spirit pre-race. The event village had large changing rooms for males and females which was a HUGE bonus instead of almost getting naked in the middle of a field as well as a free bag drop. Plenty of toilets were provided for the amount of people attending which meant there was never an issue with large ques. Race HQ was easy to locate and registration was really simple. The amount of information provided in the athlete's guide was spot on. It was very clear to follow and the fact the links were attached for photo's, results etc. made it easy to locate. The course was very well marked out. When courses are a mixture of fields and forest, marking can tend to be confusing however this wasn't the case at Rough Runner. There was a mixture of obstacles ranging from strength based to fun inflatable ones. Unfortunately, a couple of the inflatable obstacles were out of use but this isn't down to Rough Runner - This is something that was out of their control so it would be unfair to hold it against them. The guys at the travellator were great fun and certainly made the end of the race entertaining. Free sweets (that I shouldn't have had haha) and a great medal awaiting for you at the finishing line. Free photos are also provided which is a big thing for people as other event's can leave you spending a fortune if you want photos. Overall, it was a great day out! It would be great to see more people attending this event. Maybe the kids could get involved in 2023.

It was a freezing cold day so some of the water obstacles were taken away, understandably. There were 3 more that were unavailable unfortunately. Marshalls were a bit few and far between which wasn't the best as I was running alone and the course was very quiet, so safety was an issue. I wanted to try it and I'm glad I did, it was fun but too expensive for me to do again, as most OCR's are.
