First time I've entered this triathlon and will definitely be doing again next year. I am a novice and this was by far my biggest challenge yet but the sense of achievement on completion is immense. The marshalls were fantastic in their encouragement and everyone tries to make you feel very welcome.  Expert or novice you won't be disappointed. 

What a brilliantly organised and well planned triathlon by the very friendly Rossendale Triathlon club. Everything from the registration, briefing and the event itself couldn't be faulted. You can tell the club care greatly about the entrants and making sure the they enjoy the day. Everyone is friendly and make you feel at ease if your are slightly nervous. 2 weeks before the event the club organised for a free Recce day when members take groups around the bike route and explain areas where you need to pay attention. Then it's off the bike and off for the run section, again explaining the route. All very relaxed and friendly. 

The bike route isnt flat which suits me I could see some people not used to climbing may struggle but what do you expect for a triathlon in Rossendale. The run again is in parts off road so on a wet day expect to get your trainers muddy. 

This isn't a negative it makes the triathlon stand out from all the flat tri's. If you want a great fun friendly triathlon look no further. I certainly will be booking on again for next year.
