This is a fantastic race. The course was easy to follow, while also having a good variety of terrain. The event was very well organized;started on time. The location is really nice (bathrooms, showers, and plenty of nearby parking!). There was more food than one could of ever hoped to eat at both the "after party" and at the start/relay exchange. Despite the unfortunate weather (rain storm) the volunteers and organizers created a great race experience, that could only of been made better by having sunshine.

Amazing morning! The trail was well marked, aid stations well-spaced, dynamic course. As somewhat of a beginner, I really liked the 3-loop set up. It rained the whole time, but the announcer clearly communicated where it would be most slippery (last couple miles.)

Loved the race! Had a hard time figuring out where the start area and bib pickup were located. Day use area was not located on google maps, nor were there signs, and the address listed on the wevsite was for a location on the opposite side of the lake. I was able to figure out the start finish area based on the course map and then navigated based on what i deduced from the map, however being a loop course it was a bit of a struggle to find the start of the loop. Aside from that, everything was amazing! Course markings were spectacular, volunteers and aid stations were perfect, and finish line was well stocked. The only bottle neck i encountered was turning into the trail at the very beginning, but it thinned out pretty quickly.

As a long time rod runner and triathlete, this was my first official trail race. Everything about this race (except the weather obviously) was great!! The atmosphere and vibe was electric and I have already started stalking EX2 races to sign up for my next event. If this event had a 10k option ( only loop A) it may be less intimidating for newcomers to running writ large, but really….i highly recommend this race for all.
