Signed up for this as i could combine it with a trip to London. Having never been to Richmond Park before I had to rely on the pre-race info sent out. I followed the directions to catch one of the listed buses from the tube and found this leaves you at the gate furtherst from the...
Signed up for this as i could combine it with a trip to London. Having never been to Richmond Park before I had to rely on the pre-race info sent out. I followed the directions to catch one of the listed buses from the tube and found this leaves you at the gate furtherst from the start, the gate where Parkrun was just starting. It was then a 1.5 mile walk to the start. There is a gate much closer and I caught a different bus back. The marshalling on the course was about the minimum required and there was no support as it was in a park. Organisition was ok, public toilets available and a decent medal at the end. Chip timing with instant times was good. Course was pretty scenic but is also exactly the same route as the Parkrun course you could run for free at 9am every Saturday. Overall if you live locally its probably an ok race but certainly not an event worth travelling for.

Running in Richmond Park is always a pleasure. This was a well organised and friendly race. You collect your number on the day and this was fine. Some of the trails are gravel so some care is needed but it’s fine, it’s a trail! The route is up and down a bit so it&rsq...

Running in Richmond Park is always a pleasure. This was a well organised and friendly race. You collect your number on the day and this was fine. Some of the trails are gravel so some care is needed but it’s fine, it’s a trail! The route is up and down a bit so it’s a nice challenge. The medal is really nice!
