Lovely half marathon to do. The course is a little undulating but you hardly notice this. The views are beautiful as it’s run by the canals and parks. They did it in waves so it helps if you’re trying to get past people. At the beginning there’s a very narrow tunnel which can be annoying if you’re trying to achieve a PB. It has some trails but most of it is on a hard surface and partly on the road too. The parking is also good as it’s across the road from the start line so you haven’t got a long and painful walk. I think there could’ve been more marshalling, it just felt like there wasn’t enough along the route. I also think there should be at least one more water station. It took at least 3.6 Miles to get to one. It was overall a good run and I’d probably recommend it and do it again myself and you get a pretty medal.

This was a bit of a last minute race choice as felt I'd break up the LSR of marathon training with a few races.

Parking and registration were easy.  The start was supposed to be done based on predicted finish time but you couldn't hear the pa. Luckily most people were fairly accurate with there positioning at the start.

The was about 1k round the park then along the Thames path (2 laps) and back for another k around the park. Only slight grumble was a narrow bridge as you left the park which basically meant everyone stopped running just as you had settled into your running. The mud in some areas could not be helped!

Overall a nice run on a sunny morning.
