First 100km and it was excellent. Aid stations were great and additional water stations a real bonus. Only slight criticism. I collected my bib the day before, but would have struggled to get to the start line in time if I had left it to the day and I had arrived at the recomm...

First 100km and it was excellent. Aid stations were great and additional water stations a real bonus. Only slight criticism. I collected my bib the day before, but would have struggled to get to the start line in time if I had left it to the day and I had arrived at the recommended time. Didn't impact my day so not a complaint the day was excellent and very well organised.

Can't fault it. My first attempt at 100km and a very hot summer's day in which to do it. The extra water stops thry put on were a great idea, and there was great aid and support all the way. They made a very hard challenge feel achievable.

Well organised race, very well marked and easy to navigate. Staff at aid stations were helpful & informative. I’m a bit annoyed at the admin side of things as they inputted my gender incorrectly and so my results are on the men’s leaderboard rather than the women’s. I’ve tried contacting several times but no-one has changed it.

My first ultra and I loved it! Well marked route and pit stops generously stocked - we couldn’t quite believe we could get a cup of tea!- and we appreciated the extra water stops along the way. The webinars in the run up to the event were informative and the volunteers on the day had the perfect balance of knowing what you needed - whether it was a word of encouragement or a hand filling a water bottle. We were however really disappointed by the information and communication about parking and shuttle buses. We booked accommodation and parking at the end thinking it would be a nice short drive home, to find out only a few weeks before the event that we had to leave our car at the start of the event and get the bus back. We would have made different choices had this been clear from the beginning.

Overall this event was well organised and a great route which was well marked. Extra water stops were in place as it was a very hot day and I think we would have struggled without these. Disappointed in the pit stops which had run out of a lot of things especially the much hyped P20 suncream. The Base Camp was well staffed and we were very grateful for the food and drinks and a well earned sit down.

Very friendly and helpful staff at check points. Great to have a drop bag at the 50km check point. Limited choice of real food at later check points. No sandwich option at the 50 km check point for those going on. Very disappointing finish for those coming in later. Despite being first in age for category, the compare had gone home. Later finishers have run the same distance and should receive the same welcome.

This was my first ultra so I picked the 50k on Saturday. The route was very marked (impossible to get lost) and the pit stops were well stocked, well marshalled and well placed along the route. The weather (heatwave) made the run challenging but the extra water stops helped. The only thing I would say is that there could have been hydration tablets at each water station as well. They were at the pit stops which were really helpful and definately needed. The support staff were fantastic and the finish area (basecamp) volunteers were wonderful and so caring , supportive and friendly. Threshold Trails as an organisation were absolutely brilliant , professional and informative - I am signing up for the Race to the King June 2027. Well done TT for a fantastic event.
