Part of the Essex championship race this is a popular half marathon in Essex. From the start the course it goes back past the village hall in a large figure of eight through High Easter and Bishops Cross returning towards Pleshey to enter the village to then finish on the village hall field. The majority of the course consists of winding, single track country lanes. There are water stations on the course and hot food and cake at the finish.
