All Big Bear events are really well organised and run smoothly. This was no exception, it was great to run around the woods at night, with reflective signage and marshals lighting the way with their lightsabres! Great fun.

Absolutely loved this event! My first time running a night time event and it was brilliant. The whole event was seamless - I knew exactly what to expect from the pre race info. You can tell a lot of effort has gone into making that really good and putting everyone at ease. The logistics were very easy - even no queues for the loo which is a minor miracle at a running event!! The run itself was so fun in the fading light and then the dark. Brilliant marshals (loved the light sabres!) and a lovely varied course with the woods and the meadow. I got a tiny bit unsure of the route at the end of the meadow loop where the mown trail was less distinct and I'd lost anyone to chase, but it was all fine - I was still on the right route! A truly beautiful medal at the end topped it all off, in addition to the absolutely lovely guy who helped me out in the car park by paying for my parking when the machine refused to read my phone! Absolute legend - I'll pay it forward!

Loved this event. My first Headtorch race so it was really fun and different. Great atmosphere, everyone was really friendly. Lovely glow in the dark medal as well.

Great event and beautiful course. Perfect mix of gravel, grass and elevations. Testing, with the borrowed Petzl head torch dying after about twenty minutes; but had a friend to run with so not too big a deal. Loved the marshals with the red lightsaber lights! Great medal, great ...

Excellent event. Have walked and visited Coombe many times before, but never ran it and definitely never at night! Was a fun experience and something different. Very well organised and excellent value for money. Will definitely look to do this event again next year.
