This was my first multi-terrain event and happy to have ran this course. Has mud, hills and fantastic views over the Kent countryside. Well organised with loads of free parking and massive registration hall, which is even long enough for a warm up run up and down the hall.
Marshalls out on the course are enthusiastic and the water stations offer water, isotonic (I think) and coke as well as sweets and fig rolls. Best offering I have seen at any event to date.
Be prepared to get muddy, be challenged and to have a fun run.
Planning to be back next year.

Well done on the PB Linda, and thank you for the review :-)
I ran this event in November 2017 and am still puzzled by the race director's attitude to the fact that she missed off a vital lap of the athletics track and as a result only covered 25.95 miles for the full marathon event.
As per the original race intructions, the marathon runners were supposed to run two laps of the track before exiting the stadium at the start of the event. We were only sent round for one lap before being sent out of the stadium.
Those of us who realised this, added an extra lap at the end (much to the annoyance of the race director).
When I flagged the race director's mistake, two things happend: 1) The race photographer agreed with me and confirmed the error and 2) The race director told me to stop making a fuss.
Avoid this race. There are plenty of accurate marathons out there.

As with any Tripspirit event, well organised, happy, helpful marshalls and an amazing goodie before you've even run the race.
Beautiful course winding through quiet country lanes and always nice to have a stadium finish.
Did I mention the medal, amazing, great race bling!!!

I really enjoyed this 10k- excellent race organisation/facilities-lovely route/lovely people-just a shame not more runners as clashed with another local race. Must mention too excellent goody bag and refreshments and food at the end-very very good!

Having ran the half before, My wife Jacqui & I decided to do the 10k this time, as our son Jozef & his girlfriend Gemma, were coming to Brighton to run it too. A family affair.
Parking was easy, close by and registration very efficient in a big hall. The morning was cold, crisp and dry, so pretty good running conditions. The Julie Rose Stadium sold hot & cold food & drinks as usual. The marathon, followed by the half, got away on time following a good briefing by Liz King, event director. We lined up at the start agreeing to be cautious as there was still ice & frost about. The first mile is off-road around the lake, on grass with some short muddy sections adding to the fun. As it had not rained previously, these were better than expected. We passed a well stocked feed station after this and ran out onto some lovely, quiet lanes. Cheerful marshalls and signage kept us on course, and another good feed station provided the fuel and drink. Jacqui and I had only ran the Athens marathon 2 weeks previously so were not planning a fast time but the buzz keep us going faster than intended! The course is undulating but nothing severe, although we were soon passing several who had shot off too fast lol. For the last mile it is back round the lake again, in the reverse direction. The mud is usually worse by then because of all the use but it was still not bad this year, a bonus. It's a good feeling running into the stadium & around it to the finish.
There is live timing on a large display and another feed station with goodies such as Jaffa cakes, jelly babies, bananas etc. The Owler medal is unique and certainly worth running for. Jacqui came in shortly afterwards with Jozef, who stayed with Gemma following. They loved the event too and Gemma. wore her medal to work the next day. The organisation by Tri Spirit Events, seemed to work flawlessly and their events have such a friendly feel. I won a nice etched glass for my age group. A definite for next year
