This part of Oundle was my first time and I am sure will take another running in this year.This time was little confused because the road was in differend direction that I thinking and my gps showed me someting else.At the end I come late around 5 min and I make still take a part in the race.I am thinking to take a part with my kid also.That will be good if more direction will be because I was little confused what was for 10k and what was for 5k runners.

Hi Agata, Sorry for any confusion; the route is explained on the website, your emails and in the pre-race brief which you may have missed if you were late. Marshals are briefed to look out for the bib colours which determine which distance you're running. The route is one lap for 5km and two for 10km and there is a marshal position at the entrance to the school to direct runners in. We are back in March and the 5/10km route is the same (there is the added distance of 20m) and we hope you'll join us

I always enjoy the Oundle 5k . It's well organized and results are available very quickly. However as with last year's event I would prefer it if the finish was in the car park area rather on the playing field. Last year it was very muddy this year the ground was frozen.

Hi Kevin, Oundle is a measured course and the UKA measurer sets the locations. If we were to move the location, it would be short and we cannot just make amends without UKA remeasurement. We'll consider this for sure when the time comes for remeasurement but we are also aware that we use the facilities with the cooperation of the local church who use the car park too (it is a requirement of use). Hopefully, going forward we will find some common ground but the route has to remain the same for now.

This is my 6th New Year run here and I think it’s a great event. Everything 100% apart from finishing on rough grass. If we could finish on tarmac it would be perfect. Best wishes, Terry.

Some minor issues, but still a race worth participating in. Course navigation at the very end could be better signposted. At the finish coming back into the primary school car park, there is a fork and I wrongly took the left-hand, taking the long way round to the finish line, the supporting staff member based there didn't point where I was meant to go. I realised my mistake too late. On my way out I noticed another person do the same, so it wasn't just me. For a more competitive runner this could've been a costly mistake. : )
