Thanks a lot for the event, it was another Amazing Race. The 4th Time for me in Cannes. From my point of view, what could be improved: - safety buoys: they could be inflated upstream by volunteers. This is what is done in other races and it avoids losing energy and breath in the middle of the race. Also, we had to keep them for a very long time after the long swimming crossing, which is not easy. - the finish line: The Cannes city arch was confusing when we were in the water. Arrival refreshment: no refreshment on the finish line. I had hypoglycemia and had to wait for my partner to get the ticket from the bag before I could eat. It was borderline dangerous. Also, drinks had to be paid for...with that registration price, it's a shame to have to pay for a Coke or a beer..it is the Minimum that we have in all sport events, even small local races. All the others points of the organization were amazing, as Always :-) Thanks again

Hello, I had already done the sprint format two years ago and I registered this year because I had good memories of it.I was very disappointed by the quality of the organization .first of all, there are few qualified people to answer questions when collecting bibs. If the transport to the island was good, the briefing entirely in English is disturbing.This should have taken place both in French (because we are in France) and in English!The supplies were lousy in terms of both the quantity present and the quality of the products! What can we say about the arrival or even if the dish is very good, the water is chargeable! A shame .The safety of the water bodies also left something to be desired, I did not see any kayak or paddle or boat to guide us or secure us.As for the gift bag for the price of registration, a key ring is weak and a medal, however pretty, does not replace everything.Such a shame because this journey between city and nature is both demanding, challenging and beautiful. I don't think I would recommend it to other swimrunners if the organization is the same next year

Thank you for the feedback Marie. All duly noted. The energy stations will be stocked up next year for sure though lousy is certainly not the right word to describe them. The water was for free at the finish at the BE WTR stand, maybe you did not notice it.The entire organization was present at registration and for sure could have answered any questions like we did for other people at the dedicated information desk. Race briefing in English and French will be done next year. There were 16 boats and two kayaks on the swim sections to ensure the safety of the participants on the swims. The gift bag will be improved next year, do not forget that we provide free images for all participants (in most races you have to pay), free food, free transport to the start etc. Thanks again for the feedback.

There was not enough water along the way, the indicators for the path were not great. Not enough volunteers to indicate the way :(, gun time used to measure time rather than chip. Wasn’t that great. However, Cannes is nice and the official Juliana hotel was great too.

Nous avons été assez déçus de certains éléments, surtout pour une course Otillo : - les ravitaillements étaient assez "tristes" : pas de barres ni de gels énergétiques. Très peu de solides. Pas de ravitaillement à l'arrivée (ok le repas d'après course mais pas d'eau). - à l'arrivée, pas de bar ou autres permettant l'achat, par exemple, de bières, ..... - Informations pas toujours claires, on doit chercher l'info (où peut-on faire quoi). Notamment sur le site d'arrivée. - Beaucoup de personnes du staff ne parlent pas français alors que nous sommes en France. - Le balisage parfois pas très claires, notamment au niveau du centre-ville de Cannes (ok dans les parties off-road) et certains tronçons de natation. - Risque élevé de percuter un piéton dans les parties pédestres du centre-ville. - Moins important mais nous n'avons aucun "vrai" cadeau avec l'inscription (casquette, t-shirt ou autre). En dehors de cela, nous avons passé un bon moment et c'est une belle course. C'est simplement dommage, qu'en terme d'organisation générale nous classons cette course en bas de la liste des Swimrun que nous avons déjà effectués (si on tient compte du rapport qualité/prix), comme par exemple (Swimrun des Gorges du Verdon, Otillo Engadin, Swimrun de Robertville, ...)

Thank you David for the feedback. The energy stations will be improved for sure. There was a BE WTR stand at the finish that provided fresh filtered and enhanced water to all participants for free all afternoon. The caterer unfortunately did not communicate this to you it seems. We had ordered beer from the caterer but he did not get the machine to work which was annoying we totally agree!
