Unfortunately quite a few runners got lost in the last 5 miles. There were quite a few times I had to stop and look for sawdust. Maybe more Marshalls in the forest 🌳 in this part of the race ?

The legendary Orion 15 is set in the beautiful Epping Forest and it might be the same course each year but it never looks or feels the same! Well done on your run. Next up….John Clarke memorial trail run.

This was my second time running this course. It is a classic and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a challenge cross country even to test themselves on. It’s not an easy course but the atmosphere and support from the marshals all make it worth it.

All marshalls and volunteers were super friendly, always smiling and very supportive, providing an overall positive environment. There was one point in the forest where a couple other runners and I went slightly off course and had to navigate ourselves back to the point so potentially more sawdust or more marshalls (although I know this is hard) may be needed in less obvious areas. Nonetheless, an overall very nice experience, mostly created by the wonderful volunteers who gave up their time for this race.

This one has been on my list to do for a long time, and it didn't disappoint! Lovely, friendly small event, lots of mud, lots of hills (my Garmin registered just under 1500ft), lots of marshalls and support. There was a couple of places in the woodland at around 10ish (?) miles where we got a bit lost as we lost the sawdust trail, but tbh, that's all part and parcel of xc and the fun of it! Will definitely be back! Thanks all!
