A lovely route challenged this time a little by the current road works but along the river was perfect.

Friendly crew and marshals and superb pacer crew of course.

Nice to get a medal as well and not a mug!

Wonderful scenery all along, see pic, at that point on the run in to Kingston I was joined by my mate on a bike who told me he and his wife were expecting their first child!! Where else would you get that?!

Top marshalling and support too, thanks for a memorable day!

This is such a gorgeous race to run. I was slightly apprehensive when I realised it was open roads but it was so well marshalled that it didn't matter. I couldn't run this race to my full potential due to quite an achy ankle (since been diagnosed as a stress fracture) but the wonderful setting was certainly taking my mind off the pain. I can't wait to come back and do this again next year only this time to fully enjoy it and try and run it with a smile rather than a grimace! Another great even organised by human race! Well done guys!

Lovely race, great route alongside the Thames with beautiful views and brilliantly organised. The only tiny drawback is it being 'open road' which means some junctions and narrow footpaths - these were all well marshalled though with runners given (unofficial) priority. The course was flat and fast making this a great event which I will definitely look forward to doing again next year!

First time running this event but on arrival pre arranged nearby parking was easy to find and handy distance ot the start. Baggage drop off straight forward next to the start line also.

I entered the marathon distance so it was a "bonus" to start in waves with a designated pacer. Withth the chip timer attached to our foot there wasnt actually any need to run off with too fast a group worrying about the timer ticking away losing time.

The race goes through th shopping centre which is good for shoppers offering support along the thames and an additional loop before heading back to the start for an additional two laps. At times it got confusing passing or getting passed by other runners who may be doing the 8 or 16 mile event who satrted at different times

The marshalling at junctions was great and full of support my only issue is as you can imagine waking up and going for a "sunday  training run" you come across non runners who dislike you running on the same pavement that they are on. Had a few cars turning into side roads as my group was crossing firmly blowing the car horn or walkers deliberately looking at you running up the path/pavement and awkwardly choosing not to move to one side as running at speed our change of directions equals the turning radius of the titanic. Would be easier for these sunday walkers to just step aside? No??

Picked up an injury but hobbed to the finish was still great to enter market square and still get an apploaud and tannoy announcement of me finishing!!

See you 2017!

I've done the Lidl Breakfast Run 8.2mi but not the Nuffield race previously, although it's the same course.

Very well organised with race pack sent, a team of cadets at the bag drop and clear instructions pre race. There's always a queue at the toilets but there was a lack of urinals which the Breakfast Run provided which was a shame.

Very scenic next to the river and Hampton Court although the drag down to the Scilly Isles is a bit tedious.  There's always a person to chase down as it's a multi lap race (just one for me) but that means it can get a little busy and need to run on the road to get round.

Finally, was spoilt by Breakfast Run's brilliant goody bag but this was £10 cheaper so happy with a bling medal.

Richie.
