Good event, especially considering the issues caused by the stormy weather just before. Course navigation and direction was the issue I would raise: one or two ambiguities, a couple of locations where marshals were positioned too far back from a corner implying that runners had to come further towards them before changing direction, one place where spectators' encouragement rather unfortunately redirected me the wrong way, and near the finish, although there were signs, a marshal or cones would have been helpful to have avoided cutting the last corner near Mistle Thrush Drive - with the finish line in sight it should have been more clear that you couldn't just turn for it past the AstroTurf pitches and needed to loop further around.

This was my first race, even in the terrible weather they created a warm, fun and welcoming atmosphere. The Marshalls and other people around the race were super friendly and encouraging. I’d definitely do it again!

First race for me and first 10k distance, but a great event! The team did so well reorganising after the bad storm the day before and everything seemed to run effortlessly. A lovely course too with a mix of terrain and slight elevations, I ran a very respectable/common time but it wasn’t crowded at all so felt like I was just on a casual run in my own! Running through an estate was lovely as there was a few crowds just there to support for the atmosphere, and anyone you passed either smiled or cheered you on if you passed them after they finished. Entered in haste but will definitely be back next year!
