A smaller scale event which was organised and operated really professionally. A great experience, from the booking, through to completion. Lots of updates and information sent in the weeks beforehand, which gave me confidence that I would have no problems on the day itself. Event parking (paid for), toilets, bib collection, bag drop, and warm up were all good, in my experience. Very flat course on tarmac, compact paths and country trails/field edges. I’d guess about 30% of the route is on trail/grass, and it might be very sticky if it rained - fortunately we had sunshine. Excellent supportive marshals. Water stations every 5.25kn Signage was excellent on the course except for the last 500m: I was not the only one to have no idea where I was going to reach the finish line - not helped by loads of people leaving the venue on the surrounding paths/roads. It just needed 2 more arrows to avoid confusion. I was pleased with the medal and finish line goodies: water, alcohol-free beer, banana, brownie, apple, reusable bag. Will definitely have this pencilled in my schedule for next year. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and gave their time to make it a great day.

The marshals, from those directing traffic to the parking, the bib tents to the on course marshals were ALL excellent. Being a slow runner I was towards the back of the field but this didn’t dim the support given by those marshalling. I was impressed by the polite and well presented cadets helping on the day. This is the third time I have taken part and look forward altrsdyvto next year and recommend it to anyone thinking of taking part in the future.
