Nice friendly small local race. I took part in this race in 2017 and they have made some good improvements to the course (more Marshalls on the main round about and the run course flows better). It’s a early good race for beginners, those who want to kick off the season (the wave...
Nice friendly small local race. I took part in this race in 2017 and they have made some good improvements to the course (more Marshalls on the main round about and the run course flows better). It’s a early good race for beginners, those who want to kick off the season (the waves are allocated by the predicted time you submitted) and everyone finishes about the same time on the track. The race is easy to get too. A later start on a Sunday. The pool facilities are good for pre and post race. The bike course is flat and quiet. The run course is flat and quite and you go round it twice. Marshalls were dotted around in all the places that were needed. The run was easy to follow. And finishing on the track is nice. Post race you receive a banana water sweets granola bar and a tshirt. I recommend this race and hope to attend again. NEWT Tri club put on a great event.
