I had a great time at the Newport Half Marathon! I know they had to overcome a few race day problems and I thought it was absolutely wonderful! More than enough aid stations and support along the route. Plenty of bathroom facilities and assistance at the start and end as well...
I had a great time at the Newport Half Marathon! I know they had to overcome a few race day problems and I thought it was absolutely wonderful! More than enough aid stations and support along the route. Plenty of bathroom facilities and assistance at the start and end as well as beautiful views the entire race. Even got history lessons of landmarks from the app! I look forward to running this again in the future, thanks!!!

The course itself was beautiful, however the organization of the event left much to be desired. The bib pickup was in a small office building with ~20 parking spots for the hundreds of runners. There was absolutely zero signage in the pre- and post- run areas at the event so nobo...
The course itself was beautiful, however the organization of the event left much to be desired. The bib pickup was in a small office building with ~20 parking spots for the hundreds of runners. There was absolutely zero signage in the pre- and post- run areas at the event so nobody knew where we needed to go for things like gear check. While on the course, the marathon runners, half marathon runners, and 5K runners all converge into one small lane, all going very different speeds, leading to a dangerous situation as I had to weave through walking 5Kers. Finally, the parking situation was a nightmare; we had to wait for about 45 minutes in the rain after the race for a shuttle to drive back to the parking lot on the other side of town. While I enjoyed most of the course, I will not be signing up for this race again.

The lines to get a bib check was RIDICULOUS no organization nobody knew what was going on or where to go. When we received our bibs they had no chip, and were not told they ran out of bibs with chips. I paid 15 extra on top of the original fee for same day bib pick up and now I ...
The lines to get a bib check was RIDICULOUS no organization nobody knew what was going on or where to go. When we received our bibs they had no chip, and were not told they ran out of bibs with chips. I paid 15 extra on top of the original fee for same day bib pick up and now I won’t even get an official time with is complete BS. The experience overall was terrible and I would not run this race again.

I went at 7am to get my bib and I was told the bibs with timing chips ran out. (Also I paid $15 for race-day bib pickup.) So I had to run the race not knowing if my timing will be official. When I tried to ask some staff, they seemed to have no idea.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a race. The runners were running into the half marathoners. No one knew which way to go. The buses were slow and had a wait to get back to parking lot. I asked a so called volunteer for help and was sent in the wrong directi...
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a race. The runners were running into the half marathoners. No one knew which way to go. The buses were slow and had a wait to get back to parking lot. I asked a so called volunteer for help and was sent in the wrong direction. Asked a police office and he knew the answer. The volunteers should have a clue. Having three races run into each other was just ridiculous. Won't go back!
