Third time I've done this race and the 3rd PB in a row. Simon and the New 2 Tri team can't do enough to help. Great atmosphere, friendly, fast and brilliantly organised. Suitable for beginners who just want to do the distance or seasoned runners who want to really take the breaks off and aim for a PB. I'll be doing this when races are back on for many years to come. Great way to start the year!

Such a fun event and a great one to start the year off. Event staff very helpful and registration straight forward. The out and back style, allows everyone to cheer everyone one. No concern over getting lost. Tail runners make sure no one gets left on course. And a water station at the turn around point.
Turn around points very clear and fully marshalled
Gorgeous 360° countryside views with no traffic or road restrictions
Party atmosphere at start/finish. Physio and nutrition advice available both pre and post event.
Perfect event for beginners and PB hunters

Used this race as a marker for my winter training. Nice out and back, flat course, along an old railway line. Easy to navigate and good to see competitors coming in the opposite direction.
Lovely enthusiastic Marshall's, cheering everyone as they went passed and great area around the finishing line so easy to find fellow competitors or spectators.
Registration was very efficient, utilising the local Fire Station at very short notice.
Would highly recommend this race for first timers, those chasing a 10k PB or for anyone wanting a race early in the year as a marker.

This is a top event to start your year, expertly organised by a friendly, helpful team. Great support before, during and after the race. Due to the nature of the course, its ideal for first-timers and those looking for a PB. Would highly recommend to anyone.
