Another excellent course and well organised event. Pity there's no control over the weather. Big Feat Events are one of my regular trail running bookings. Maybe review using metal for medals, other trail running companies use wooden medals. Apparently a shorter lead time for ordering so fewer medals left over and more sustainable.

I just wanted to give a massive shout out to the aid station volunteers who were the real heroes that day. They stood out in the harsh wind and piercing rain for hours to allow us to take part in a run. Hats off to them.

It must be a problem to manage and so I'm not sure how to improve it, but the road crossing nearer the end was quite dangerous with fast-approaching cars. The marshall was only able to say 'be careful' (which he did) but the potential for an accident was there in some measure. ...

The marshall was only able to say 'be careful' (which he did) but the potential for an accident was there in some measure. Also, more portaloos for the start would have been good as I queued quite a long time and only just made it to the start in time. I assume that deviations from the .gpx downloaded route were due to the weather and conditions? It did make me wonder if I had mis-read the signs a couple of times but I followed them anyway even though the .gpx directions were not identical. Well done to the organisers and particularly the marshals for standing out in those conditions!

A brilliant event put on in very difficult conditions. The only negatives were the bag drop was not sheltered enough from the rain and a not enough loos. The support teams were incredible managing the aid station is rain and wind, so well done. The Big Feat events are always so well sign posted, friendly marshals and in fantastic areas I highly recommend them.

Overall, it was an excellent event, and I'm just sharing these thoughts in the hope you find them useful. when I arrived I there was reasonable queue to park, which was understandable, but I just didn't think about it, a mention in the pre-event email would have made me think about. There was quite a distance between where I parked and registration; I didn't actually know where it was. When I initially spoke to someone while I was being directed where to park, it would have been helpful if they'd mentioned where registration was and that it was quite a distance away - i.e., take all your stuff with you. I couldn't use the toilets because there was quite a long queue, and I would have missed my start. It was a shame that you weren't able to access the campsite facilities.

The 50k run was brilliant. The staff at the aid stations were really helpful and supportive. The weather and mud was truly awful but thats not down to the organisation of it. I woukd most definitely do it again, just not the 50k run. There was loads of parking area and facilities...

Can't say how well stocked the finish area was when u come last and most people have gone home
