There were two obstacles and they were to easy There was no drinking water available. There were stations but they were empty and garbage everywhere. There were hoses to clean off but getting access to that hoses, you had to basically fight people… there was no supervision There running trails zig zags but because the tapped off areas were not lined up no one knew where to run half the time. Most people scattered. This mud run was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. It smelled liked cow manure and porter potties also sat right next to the track. There were no food trucks, just one ice cream truck No professional photographers came No additional activities such as announcing winners, or playing games. Finally at the end of the race, we picked up our medals out of a box that were still wrapped in plastic and had been left at an unattended table. The whole experience was cheap! I’ve been doing races for years,.. This is the worst race I’ve ever been to.

Pretty much a total disappointment. Started out okay: long line (30 minutes) to park, but check-in proceeded swiftly for a 930am heat, swag at pickup was fine, there were sufficient staff for check-in and bag-check. Everything got worse from there. Course obstacles were few and far between, and the guidance markers were not sufficient - one bunch from our group missed a whole leg of the course. Saw two staff people at obstacles over the entire length of the course. Approximately half of the course was simply a walk in the woods without obstacles or differentiation. The course had a foul animal odor throughout, worse than other similar runs we've done. Obvious hazards were not addressed, such as large slick rocks at the bottom of water pits, and mud caking up on things like handholds on the climbing wall had no attention throughout the day. The line to rinse off (three garden hoses) ran over an hour and had zero staff attending, directing traffic, or creating structure. If that were all, still could have been a 2 or 3 star day - weather was good, we got set up quickly, and the course was more unremarkable than strictly awful. However the worst part by far was the total chaos of parking. I was part of a group of approximately fifty participants who were entirely blocked in by another row of cars. We could not pull forward (trees and hill) and could not back up as cars were intentionally double parked behind us. We had to wait over an hour for racers from other heats to come and move their vehicles. When we contacted event staff, they said "nothing we can do about it" and, in one case, "you'll just have to wait". When the group from the next heat did arrive, they apologized and said that parking attendants instructed them to block us in. There were zero parking attendants in the lot from 1030am-12pm while we waited to be let out. Would not recommend, will not be participating in another Muddy Dash event in the future. I should note that this was a work event and so there are approximately 40 of us who will be going elsewhere.

This was my 6th race and my second one at the 508. There were maybe 20 employees there. Maybe. The best part of the day was the guy manning the hose on the water truck having a blast spraying everyone. No beer. No free snack. No photos. No one handling out medals. No water at the halfway point hydration station. Everything smelled like cow crap and there were only about 5 obstacles for the entire race. The merch station was cash only and the parking was an absolute NIGHTMARE.

I was extremely disappointed with your race in Carlton! Was it not only unorganized you had no obstacles other then maybe two, the mudd was so old is smelled like cow sh**! There was nobody handing out metals the water ran out there was no free beer and all the obstacles you showed on your website not one was there! There was nothing to be excited about this race it was one of the worst I have ever ran!!!

I was HIGHLY disappointed in your recent race held in charlton MA. It was not only disorganized, but also the water station mid race was EMPTY. After waiting in line for water only to learn that all three water containers were empty was horrendous. It was so hot we were not happy! Additionally, one of the obstacles (of the very few they offered btw), broke during the race. The monkey bars specifically, and the person who I assume was supposed to be watching for safety reasons was instead siting in his truck with music blasting facing AWAY from the obstacle. Id also like to point out the very very long wait times at each obstacle. Maybe consider quality over quantity! Lastly, it was very disappointing that there was no true finish line. You could have just shown up and got to the start line and ran the entire race. They don’t care what you wear either, lots of people in crocs! When the crocs got sucked into the disgustingly smelly mud water, another line of people formed. Really tho, there was no one checking numbers. No finish line recording your time. No one on the course monitoring safety or keeping the long lines moving. It was actually a pretty big let down all around. You know the worst part tho? When we got to the end of the race, there was a washing station, but it was so heavily crowded we decided not to wait. Shortly after that was a row of porta potty’s and foot pump hand washing stations. Guess what, all four hand washing stations were bone dry. We learned this AFTER pumping soap onto our hands. 508 should tell the race coordinators to buzz off next time they’re asked to host. Or perhaps they don’t care about quality over quantity either. 10/10 do not recommend!!!

First of all my email got hacked and when i email to change it from john-pr@hotmail.com to j.n.them123@gmail.com i never heard back which i thought was going to mess up the race because i had a group of like 8 people! (The muddy bodies) We got there and there was no organization…everyone was ok over the place, the music kept going off…there was no point for choosing time. They had everyone jump in to any race…very unprofessional and really shows this race was all for the money. I’m more than 50%sure the mud water was mud, it had a strong stench of manure! Yooo super strong!!! We got to the finish line…one of the races was trying to connect the water hoses because they weren’t even connected…he counter figure it out…that definitely was UPSETTING! we all smelled like cow manure! And at the end all the water jugs were empty…no water to drink! Right now it has topped my worse experiences in races!!!!
