A stunning course, and very well run, no real complaints. It just lacked any atmosphere and celebration. Felt very much the 'poor relation' of Northern Traverse. Very subdued at finish and at bag reclaim - felt really odd!

I couldn’t have chosen a better race for my first ultra! Not only was the route absolutely stunning, I felt completely safe and supported the whole time, despite the self-sufficient nature of the event. As always with Ourea, the event team and volunteers went above and beyond to make sure all participants had the best (and safest) race they could. The bonus was the importance placed on environmental impact, with a beautiful wooden medal to top it off!

An excellent race - great course, brilliant aid stations, fab volunteers, great organisation - can't fault this Ourea Events race really. I'd throughly recommend it.

At outstanding new race within the Traverse. I really liked the clear and informative pre-information. The level of attention to detail in every aspect was incredible, but especially the kindness and help at checkpoints. It was like having your own crew. The Glaisdale one inside a hall was most welcome. It was clear that there would be 30+ km between checkpoints and that the ethos was on mostly self-sufficiently preparing. At the end, each runner was met and personally walked back to the village hall by a team member, and made to feel so special. Vegan sausage rolls were fab! The route was beautiful and challenging ; although Storm Kathleen was less lovely, it added to the character-building part! I would highly recommend Ourea events and this race specifically.

A brilliant event, and a really enjoyable day. The route is challenging, but I was very impressed by the organisation, and the help and support from the events team, both in the lead up to the race, and during the event. My race didn't quite go as planned owing to an injury that started to bother me early on, but the events team did a great job of encouraging and supporting me, and helping me to find a way to complete the event safely. I felt very well looked after and was given very sensible advice throughout the event to make sure I had my navigation/food/hydration/pain relief under control. In hindsight, the compulsory kit list was very well judged - moving at a slower pace than I had anticipated I was very very grateful to have all of the kit from the list available to me. Again, testament to the experience and organisation of the race team. The number of aid stations was small, with reasonably large distances between them, but this was very clearly communicated before the event, we were clearly told to ensure we had enough food and drink to support ourselves, so this wasn't a problem. Following on from this experience I will definitely try to enter more OUREA events. Thank you for a great weekend!
