I was very disappointed with the 10k walk. I have done it twice before and it was fun. We did the same route as the runners and they cheered us as they ran passed people came out along the route to cheer us on. It was no fun just walking round and round the field. I don't feel ...

Very disappointing that the 10k walk route was changed from previous years with no communication. Instead of doing the advertised 10k route (no mention on the website of it being runners only) we had to do two 5k laps on trails around a lake and school fields which was nothing like the expected route. Given the poor weather conditions which were obviously out of the event team’s hands it made for a pretty miserable afternoon. The only saving grace was that at least money was raised for a great charity.

It is a good event with a lovely atmosphere. The good availability of included event t shirts is a lovely touch. The medal was also good quality. There was some water and fruit but there could have been more.
