What an event. Perfect starting place with the camping onsite. The event staff could not do enough at feed stations. Absolutely fantastic. The navigation with arrows on road in addition to those mounted vertically were so clear. More interesting than following a GPS head unit also. Great route too mobile mechancic is a great idea. Will return next year. Thank you

Great if challenging route and friendly support team. Feed stations were amazing and had everything you need even for the fussiest of foodies. My feedback for improvement based on my experience is: Race number/registration was slow due to missing race numbers and possibly lack of proper preparation. This held up some participants in getting to the start line at the time they wanted. The cut off time should have been extended to allow for the unprecedented heat and the extended course length. Feed stations were great and well stocked with good food. Kingsteignton should have better publicised their tea/coffee rather than presuming cyclists wouldn’t want it on a hot day and placing it out of sight at the back. My cup of tea was so welcomed! The water butt was branded with energy drink which put me off using it, until I was told it was actually just water. This misled participants either way. Better clear marking needed. The additional water station popped up some 600metres before our second feed station. This was completely illogical and as we’d been cycling 20 miles since our last fill up, many people were in need of a top-up long before this. The water man would have been welcomed a few miles further back.

Excellent event & staff. In particular, a lady at the finish spotted that I was in a bit of distress with the excessive heat & kindly helped me, providing water & a wet t-shirt to hang around my neck. I did not catch her name, but thank you again to her for her thoughtfulness & kindness :)

The course itself was particularly well marked with arrow signs posted at every junction & turn, with spray painted direction arrows on the road at turns also. The feed stops were fantastically well stocked with a plentiful variety of food & drinks available, all staffed by friendly, helpful & supporting staff. Extra pop up water stations would have been appreciated in the extreme heat on this event, even with 2 bottles of 750ml on board i found i was having to restrict my fluid intake to last until the next stop.
