Another great event from the NIce Work team. I have competed in several of their races over the last three years and all have been well organised and friendly. They seem to find lovely venues too (Monsal Trail, Tissington Trail and Shirewood Pines)

Took over an entry from a relative. Process for this was smooth and easy to do. Pre race information was informative. Race day process was good. Good communication from Race Directors pre race briefing. All in all, enjoyed the event and would do it again.

I ran the Monsal Trail half marathon on Sunday. I was very impressed with every aspect of the event; from the communication, to the signage and all other considerations they clearly put time and effort into. I have booked the same event in March!

This was a lovely event that had a smaller feel to it than bigger race events. Despite this, it was incredibly well-organised and ran very smoothly. There were just a couple of things that could improve it - I didn't receive much pre-race-day communication at all, which made me wonder whether the event was actually still happening or whether I had registered correctly! A few more emails in the weeks leading up to the day would've put my mind at ease. The second thing was that with it being a smaller event, in the final few miles there was very little atmosphere - whereas with a bigger event, the streets would be lined with spectators cheering everyone on and you'd be surrounded by other runners, in this case the runners were very spread out by the end and it was very quiet! That being said, the route was so good and the marshals were fabulous!

Hello Ella, Thank you for your feedback... we're so glad to hear that you enjoyed this race. It is one of our favourites! All runners receive an email in the last two weeks - 10 days prior to the race and again a couple of days before the big day. However, we will be performing a review of this comms flow to look at an additional touch point for those that book earlier so that they have some peace of mind. I hope that this helps and we look forward to seeing you again next year.
