Numbers were low this yeah for the marathon and because of that it felt the support was low but as ever with a big cow event the information was on point the price was good and the event was run perfectly

I ran the 10k course. Pre race information said there would be a water station at the 5k mark. We were told we would be completing 2 laps of the previous 5k race.. the route did not take us past the water station. I asked a Marshall and he said it was round the corner. There was ...

I ran the 10k course. Pre race information said there would be a water station at the 5k mark. We were told we would be completing 2 laps of the previous 5k race.. the route did not take us past the water station. I asked a Marshall and he said it was round the corner. There was NO water water station until the end of the 10k. I was disappointed in this.

Organization before the race was outstanding, I got all information I needed. The team was helful all the time. Marshalls were friendly and supportive. I didn't get pictures, I'm a little bit disappointed that no one took any pictures of me even at the finish line. My request for help was left not replied. The run itself was awesome and I really loved it only perks (goodie bags) could be better :)

Not just a criticism of this event but not a fan of the plastic cups at water stations, almost impossible to drink while running and would prefer to have a small water plastic bottle instead

A really lovely route with varied terrain. Through the woods, along the canal and then into the countryside on safe tracks and trails. A really lovely Half Marathon, really enjoyed it. Not a PB course but a lovely race through and through! Thank you!

Lovely, well organised little event with great organizers and marshalls giving up their day to keep us on track. I did the marathon distance, and I thought that the double loop had positives, such as knowing what to expect the second loop around. It was quite an undulating course...

Lovely, well organised little event with great organizers and marshalls giving up their day to keep us on track. I did the marathon distance, and I thought that the double loop had positives, such as knowing what to expect the second loop around. It was quite an undulating course, which I only realised 3 days before (eek!), with a particularly tough hill around mile 11 and 23. Still PB potential, but certainly NOT "fast and flat" and I did have to adjust the pace slightly which I was initially aiming to run. The run was well signposted and information available beforehand made it possible to prepare without any nasty surprises. Some unpaved surfaces, which were fine, though, the short grass bit was tough to run on up the hill, when the sun came out and it got a bit humid. I knew aid stations would have cups of water (as I asked beforehand), which is better for the environment than bottles, of course, but totally impossible to use to hydrate properly without wearing most of it. I brought my own Camelbak to make sure I had access to hydration when I needed it and took some High 5 drinks that were offered. This was the first year that this event added on a marathon distance, and I was very happy to get a PB, despite the elevation gain (approx 370m in total). I was also honoured to come in as first lady, with a lovely reception and beautiful wooden trophy. Great looking medals as well. Thank you!
