Loved this race. Running around the riverside in sight of Tenemos sculpture and the Transporter bridge was a real treat. The event was well organised with friendly and helpful staff. There was a slight bottleneck at the start maybe the first 400m was a little bit busy but after that the rest of the course was excellent. Highly recommended race can’t wait until next year.

The start was a disaster need to keep the 5k and 10 k separate metal barriers at start not needed. The total lack of k signs was poor . Confusion of pacer times when running.

First time doing boro 10k and thoroughly enjoyed it, I was a slower runner so didn’t really see much of the bottle neck but it was busy getting through. Swag bag was fab! Although I found out earlier finishers got more than the later ones.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Route was amazing and easy to follow. Atmosphere from staff was just out of this world. The goodie bag was more than i expected and the medal was beautiful!

A chaotic start. Would love to know whose bright idea it was to start both the 5k and 10k together in such a tight area. This caused bottlenecks that only really dissipated 400m from the start. Sticking metal barriers in the middle of the road at the start did not help and I witn...

A chaotic start. Would love to know whose bright idea it was to start both the 5k and 10k together in such a tight area. This caused bottlenecks that only really dissipated 400m from the start. Sticking metal barriers in the middle of the road at the start did not help and I witnessed many people only just get out of the way of them, they almost caused serious injury. The reversed course is a welcome change but a couple of random switchbacks at the stadium doesn’t help your rhythm while in race mode - this needs to be reconsidered for next year.

I was the 70 min pacer for this event. I agree that the start was a little confusing with both the 5k and 10k pacers having the same coloured flags, maybe some different colours could make things clearer? The start was a little congested but to be fair, it usually is at these events. I finished at 70 mins and 3 seconds, so although it may have seemed like I was ‘running into the distance’ the result I got was spot on. I had lots of positive feedback at the time too.

I’m not a very fast runner so the congestion didn’t affect me as much but I can see how it would have been a problem. Could also do with more “keep left” signs and mentality as a lot of new people might not realise they are in the way. Otherwise I thought the loos were great but if I’d been any later I’d have missed the chance to use them as they were so busy. The merch and medal was brilliant but would love a T-SHIRT for the price instead. As for the route I thought it was fantastic as a first timer, really nice to see the city we live in in such a nice way (with the sunshine it also helps haha). But otherwise I thought it was a fab atmosphere and will 💯 be back.
