A lovely race. My first HM so maybe a bit of inexperience in this review

Tiny Temple 7 mile Setting off alongside the Temple Trail Half Marathon, this 7 mile multi-terrain race is nestled in the spectacularly scenic Marlborough Downs and allows you to take in the start and finish of the Temple Trail, without the other 5 miles in between! Registration was done online with race numbers to be collected on the day. On the day entries were also available. Parking was across the road from the Rugby club but also coincided with a car boot sale, football matches and rugby training! Although a relatively small field of entrants for both the half and tiny trail, the start could have benefited from a few extra loos. The race director led a warm up before running through the race brief and leading entrants to the start. The start was on the road out of Marlborough which could have caused an issue for local traffic but luckily not too many cars were affected. A small stretch of road and then onto the Manton estate. A lovely route with challenging hills just where you don't want them. The one at 5.5 miles had a sting in its tail and was soon followed by an uphill climb back towards the College sports pitches before climbing back to the finish! Due to the remote location there was little in the way of local support but that's to be expected on a trail run. The route itself came in at just under 7 miles (6.78 miles according to my Garmin) so technically it could be called at 10k and the race was manually timed rather than being chip timed. A pretty route with lovely medal and reasonably priced. I'll definitely do this again next year.
